Big Data Engineer (f/m/d) for our Open Source Data Platform

Your mission at stackable:- You will develop data platforms, process pipelines and services as highly scalable, distributed systems in the cloud, on premise or as hybrid solutions, tracking and fulfilling diverse requirements
- You will provide customer support for the installation, configuration and operation of applications running on the Stackable Data Platform
- You will develop best practices and standards governing the use of the Stackable Data Platform
- You will work independently in a dedicated team with many opportunities to help shape our product and our company
- You will actively contribute to our product and related open source projects and collaborate with other projects in the open source community
- Collaboration with an international team (based in Germany, UK and Sweden)

- Hands-on experience working with modern, scalable data platforms: Big Data software such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache Hadoop, Apache HBase, Apache Hive, Apache Nifi, Elasticsearch
- Experience with cloud-native technologies such as containerization and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience in software development using Rust (ideally), Java, or Python
- The Linux Shell, SSH, Git and co. are an integral part of your toolstack
- Enthusiasm for new technologies and topics relating to Linux, Kubernetes, Cloud, Big Data and ML Engineering
- Fluent German and English skills
